What happens when a parent leaves a child, alone?
I mean, the parent who decides, "I don't want to be a parent anymore... I have my own wounds to heal"
Who is left to take care of the child, created by two "consenting" adults?
Does Social Services take this into account when discussing Foster Care and Adoption Options? Do lawyers care, when discussing divorce? Is this the stage at which the fighting between adults gets dirty, and children get used as pawns, because old wounds get thrown in each other's face? Nice "pay-back" child-replacement tactic, if it is.
Why is it that we, as a social order, readily accept a man leaving a woman with the children... and think nothing of it. Yet a woman who seeks help for her own sanity sake is seen as "mentally unfit to care for her own children", and carted away, and custody of her own flesh and blood is taken away with her, as well?
Who is this serving?
Man or beast?
What child will do well without his/her mommy?
What replacement part will fill that void best? A pill? A series of pills? How about something stronger, like tools of the medical trade?
Just because we SAY it's a Man's World doesn't make it Right, Fair or Just.... it just makes it one-sided.
