The only difference between the abuse I got and the abuse a kid who got abused by his natural parents is simple: someone got paid for me to get abused.
It's like that football case everyone was talking about. My mother was the breeder. I was the pup. My natural mother got discarded. My adoptive parents put me in a pen with other animals in their family - one was a pit-bull, and my new-parents didn't even watch to see what happened to me; then my adoptive mother made me take care of her because her father used to drink.
Oh Boo hoo for her!
Let me por some alcohol on those wounds, lady! She HAD her childhood! She HAD her aunt and grandmother to tend to HER wounds. I sure as hell didn't. I had her.
But, here's the kicker!
They were seen as "great people" because they took-in, and adopted a poor bastard child! How do they know what my mother and father were like? Did they meet them or know them? No. My adoption was done through an agent/agency through the Catholic church! (It since closed, due to illegal practices.)
Not once was I ever allowed to discuss my natural family. It was seen as an act of betrayal to my new family; the family with money.

How's that for "family values"?

neglect is a huge issue with foster-care and adoption.
there's a lot of things people neglect to discuss, see or do.
and you know who sufferers most?
