Who do you trust with your child, if you are not home with him/her?

Limited options

Our family situation is very limited, as we have no extended family to help us with any babysitting.  Hub-man and I try to make sure one parent is home at all times so the youngest ones always have a parent at home, or as close to home as possible.  (The grocery store, for example, is just a few blocks away.)  Medical emergencies, like my son's dislocated finger, happen.  I'd hate for him to be scared and hurt, and without his mommy.

That's just the way I am.

If I can't be with them, then their daddy is.  That's why there's two of us.  We're eachother's back-up.  It's not at all easy, but we try our best to be where we need to be for the sake of our kids.  We make lots of personal sacrifices because we knew having children would take a lot out of our lives.  They are not toys or pets -- they are our children, and they need our help and protection.

That's just the way we are.
