From the Inside Out Program: This course provides tools to assist inmates in exploring why relationships fail, how to build healthy, positive relationships and how to maintain and strengthen them. Emphasis is given on accountability and personal responsibility for relationships. To be considered for the program, the inmate must have a minimum of 12 weeks until their release date.
Managing Money: This program teaches financial responsibility. All participants who complete this program should be able to apply the following skills after being released into the community: budget their expenses and provide for themselves adequately for their day to day living; maintain a checking account, including the ability to write a check and keep a correct balance in their checking registry; set short term goals, and be able to determine if these are reasonable and learn to focus on what needs to be done to achieve the goals; and learn how to be prepared for unexpected expenses.
QUEST: This program is designed to enable inmates to facilitate a positive change in the following areas: life choices, taking responsibility for one actions, victim awareness, anger recognition and control, communication skills, relationships and parenting (including how to be an active parent while incarcerated). The mission of QUEST for peace creations is prevention of violence in families, communities, schools and correctional institutions; encouraging the individuals to recognize anger foster non-violent interaction among and between inmates, their families and correctional staff.
