My friend was adopted at 8 years old with her siblings. She told me that her two siblings, aged 11 and 12 respectively, were given the “choice” to stay at the orphanage or to be adopted by a foreign couple. Their choice led them to an abusive adoptive family… I don't call this a choice. They were given only two options: an abusive orphanage or a “better life” with an unknown couple in a foreign country. Regardless of the outcome of their adoption, I believe that the best solution would have been to help their father and keep them with him, but the latter was not offered to them; the adoption industry never considers such solution.
Being offered those two options shows a selfish industry for what it is: How can we make more money off these kids!!!
But, not being adopted, I have to ask if staying in their birth country wouldn't have given them the chance to someday find
their birth parents and family? Children of that age are not capable of making a rational decision that effects their whole
lives, plus siblings. That's insane!
For the three siblings, they were removed from their father and placed in the orphanage because their father became alcooholic after their mother passed away.

IN A WORLD OF WHY,
Teddy
More details.
For the three siblings, they were removed from their father and placed in the orphanage because their father became alcooholic after their mother passed away.
WHY...
WHY won't a country give a child the chance to meet his/her birth parents or extended family members?
WHY are countries so willing to send a child to a foreign land, and NOT help that child stay where he/she was born?
WHY it it acceptable for an entire government system to fail the needs of so many children?
