Well, MTV’s True Life wants YOU to tell our viewers what it’s like to be on the search for your sibling.

Why we posted this ad

Pound Pup Legacy was contacted a few days ago by MTV if we were willing to cooperate with their True Life series. Having seen the "I have Schizophrenia" episode, we felt this series tries to tell the stories of young people in their own words, with the integrity required.

One of the themes MTV is currently exploring for their new season, and this new show, is the difficulties involved in finding a lost sibling. Some of the themes being explored include: Have you lost touch with your sibling or step-sibling and want to reconnect? Were you separated from your brother or sister at a young age and have no idea of their current whereabouts? Or have you recently learned that you have a sibling you had no idea existed? Or maybe your biological father was a sperm donor and you’re looking to connect with your half siblings online? Are your other family members supportive of your search or put off by the idea?

We felt it in the interest of young adoptees to have the ability to make their story known and for all of us that attention is paid towards the issues surrounding search and reunion. Pound Pup Legacy is not commercially involved and is not being paid to post this ad, we posted it because we believe this is a good initiative.
