Once again dogs are making the news, this time, some politicians are rushing to the halls of justice saying, "You can't do that!"

In the article, "Pet Rentals:  Activists and Lawmakers Take Action", Representative Paul Frost says:

"I am not against business growth or the entrepreneurial spirit," he says. "But there is an ethical line you have to keep in mind."

Daphna Nachminovitch, of PETA's Cruelty Investigations Department, agrees.  "This business exists to make money at the psychological expense of the animal," she says. Besides the possibility of emotional scarring from being bounced from owner to owner, there are concerns about the rental dogs as they age. "Where do they go when their shelf life expires?"

<Hmmmmm....> making money at the psychological cost of another.   Bouncing from owner to owner.  Where else have I seen that happen?

It's nice to see so many lawmakers care more about the rights of an animal, than the rights of a child.
