Personal experience - pharmaceuticals

Gosh, I had a personal experience on this recently.

During a cozy dinner with a pharmaceutical CEO, I asked what his challenge was in the near future: what illnesses would he like to cure?

The stunning answer: We are not looking for cures, we are looking for illnesses that need LIFELONG treatment.

Needless to say, I lost my appetite!

the challenge

It wasn't until I was given three different medications at one time from the same therapist that I realized, "This guy has no freaking idea what my issues and problems really are!"  I don't need anti-psychotics, I need someone who will listen to my anger and let me vent until I can't speak!

I tried the pills, thinking he might know a lot more than I did, but the pills only made me feel like crap going on them and off of them.  It was an expensive experiment, that's for sure.

It's amazing how little understanding there is in the life of an adoptee who has been raped repeatedly by so-called family members.  It's as if no such thing could take place after final child-placement.

HA!  I laugh at the stupidity of some  very sheltered protected people!
