For Normal Men the breast represents sensuality. But for other men with out mothers, perhaps (attachment) disordered men, i believe it would represent nurturing, the feeling and feeding of love they never properly received.
Now why can't this be true for us women who never received the same thing? Those of us that, in our attachment disordered states, that long to have a mother, still need and picture the breast in the same way a man does. i very well believe that it is natural and shouldn't be biased to the gender of the person. It is human! We are human! That is where all of us should start our life, with sustenance from the breast!
And why, in todays society, is that not okay for a woman to feel that way about nurturing from breasts of another woman, or mother / friend?
More often than not other RAD women feel the same way as i do about the situation at hand. They long to be nurtured there, just as the man does. And BY Nurture i mean, Snuggle, Nuzzle, and in some cases have a Suck or two. And why is that wrong? i do not believe it is.
Healthy women rarely receive their cohorts in that fashion. And by cohorts i mean, friends in need, daughter figures, or even blood daughters for that matter. Yet women, healthy, or dysfunctional allow their close male friends at sometimes, and lovers most times, into that space...into that realm of their life, and love beginning. Men are received readily to the breast for a snuggle, cuddle, suck at most times they please. They can access their 'Mother' at anytime they please with their partner. But we can't, us Straight girls can't that is. The rarity of nurturing of any kind, be it hugging, cuddling, or closeness practically doesn't exist. The amount of affection, or hugs every individual should be allowed on a daily basis is robbed to us by loving, yet, selfish friends or family, that can't bare to give any part of themselves away, except to their own husband or children. Now, where does that leave us singletons? those of us who don't have ready-made families? Out in the damn cold....
i believe the only way for me, or other RADult women and men to really recover is by finding that woman, or man who will receive us, and share their life, and be sensitive enough to know that what we need is nurture, not sex, but nurture to survive and flourish and begin to get better.
Too much emphasis is placed on Gay, and Straight these days. If i were to hug and hold hands with a woman, no matter her age, it would be wrong, and inappropriate, or GAY!!! God forbid... But when you look at women birthed before the Depression, they were much more loving toward each other, and back then, all nursed their babies. It is not uncommon to go to a nursing home and find two little old ladies holding hands...Hooooray for them, they are getting what they need, and in an appropriate way, that is okay for them! It is normal, natural as the day is long...b/c they know, as i do, we are humans, and it is okay, and should be allowable for such things to take place in todays society.
My concept:
I'm Okay
Your Okay
lets keep it that way!

Near and dear to my heart...
GREAT topic-thread!!!
For Normal Men the breast represents sensuality. But for other men with out mothers, perhaps (attachment) disordered men, i believe it would represent nurturing, the feeling and feeding of love they never properly received. Actually, I think a woman's breasts embody all that's Good, Feminine, and Wholesome... it's the pervs and repressed weirdos who make us girls think Otherwise. A woman was created to BE different in design and function. Her body is MADE to produce and reproduce. What psycho-nut-job turned that into a freak-fest? In my mind, it's only a guess! I recall hearing some story about this King or prince or whatever who had this obsession about women giving birth. I can't remember the details... but from what I remember, this guy was so into watching women writhe in pain during childbirth, he would have His People hold peasant women down on a table so he could get a 'face-to-face' look at the birthing process. I believe this is where/when stirups were introduced to Women's Health. Don't quote me on that... like I said, it's a story I think I remember hearing over the course of my lifetime in health-studies.
Any Granola-Lovin' chick like myself KNOWS Midwifery is the way to go in terms of Women's Health Issues.
Somehow, somewhere, MEN thought they knew OUR bodies better than they knew their own. Must be NICE to have a God-Complex, eh?
Psycho-babblists love to use Freud as the Father of Pop-Psychology. You know what I think? I think men have penis envy and uterine jealousy.
Poor dumb bastards... when will they ever learn???
It takes a Woman's Touch to bring loving kindness to a hardened heart and soul. Without it, you know what the world gets?
Dicked in the ass.
At least.... that's MY humble opinion.
