Historical preservation time-line

A few weeks ago we opened a new group called Historical Preservation, which is centered around a time-line dedicated to child-migration, child-trafficking and child-placement through the ages. At the moment the time-line is in its infancy, with only a few entries to show our members the possibilities. We would like to encourage everyone with an interest in the history to submit to the time-line to make it a stunning exposé of what has happened to children throughout the ages.

When you go to Historical Preservation, you will see the time-line, with a red band (indicating months) and a gray band (indicating years). You can drag the time-line with your mouse pointer and by means of your cursor left and cursor right keys. In the red band events and periods will appear, events indicated by a dot and periods with a bar. When clicking on an event or period, a text balloon will appear. Clicking the title of that text balloon will take you to to the post that makes up the time-line entry.

We would like to encourage you to help us out with the time line, either by adding events and periods (options for that are available in the menu), or by editing texts of existing entries. For now the texts are taken, either from wikipedia, or from websites that offer historical information about child-migrations, child-trafficking and child-placement, but we would like to create an original set of texts as we progress.

If you have questions, remarks or suggestions, please let us know.
