Remember that musical "Meet me in St. Louis"?
Well, #1 reason why I will not be found in that city any time soon:
ST. CHARLES, MO (AP) -- Watch your language. A St. Louis-area town is considering a ban on cussing in bars. The proposed ordinance in St. Charles, Missouri, would also outlaw table-dancing, drinking contests and profane music.
One city councilman said the move is prompted by reports of bad behavior in bars. But some tavern owners complain the measure is too vague and
would be a violation of their constitutional rights.
One bar owner said his patrons are adults and it's not the city's job to tell them what they can do.
I'm curious, if it's a bar that serves food, and I accidently say "eat me", insteat of "eat meAT", would that be grounds for being arrested? Are they that hard-up for bail money these days? Come on folks, feed the politicians there in their state-houses, so people can drink and be happy and be left the hell alone already!

Moving-on
I remember going to see the play "Meet Me in St. Louis", in NYC; I believe it was our junior or senior year in Nursing School. It was a long time ago, and truth be told, lots of drinks were had that night. I have pictures of me with one of the actors, somewhere...
What I remember most about that night was being with my friends - my family, as I saw them. Going out that night was a symbolic gesture of our moving-on with the nursing program, so it was a bitter-sweet event, because we knew we were going our separate ways soon. We knew we had to have a great time, so I did my part by capturing as many annoying, embarrassing, funny moments as I could. It was my job to torture my buddies, and I loved doing that for them. I was really good at it!
I remember hunting down this actor from the play, asking if I could have a picture with him. His seemed very handsome from our seats, and I remember no one thinking I could or would do it, because I am normally very shy and quiet around people.
The night ended with everyone laughing and crying, half sleeping - half wanting more because a good time was had by all. I don't know where my old friends are now; each has moved-on with their own lives. Each has their own job and family... but I bet, if I showed them that picture, each would laugh and remember something funny and stupid about that night we saw that play in NYC.
