Apart from AdoptAdoptees.org a forum for adoptees only, which has a private board for abused adoptees, I know of no-one having that focus. Abuse by adopters of foster-carers is something that get's all too easily brushed under the carpet.
What's amazing is the information out-there, IF a person is looking in the right direction. Unfortunately, services for the abused adoptee, as a formal link to the real world is broken and in pieces, making it very difficult for the victim of abuse to get the specialized help he or she really needs.
My question is, why is this not deemed a Special Need by each state that sanctions adoptions? If the foster child and adopted child is "so special" to be placed in a safe home, away from family, where are the long-term child abuse services that SHOULD be made available to them, when abuse takes place?
