Utah toddler found dead when police respond to emergency call

(KUTV) — A toddler was found dead in a Roosevelt home according to the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to a home north of Roosevelt, Utah, at approximately 8 a.m. The call said a child was unresponsive at the home.

A 2-year-old boy was found dead by deputies when they arrived.

His body was taken to the Utah State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The sheriff's office did not provide any details about how the child may have died or what circumstances he was found in. Officials called it an "unattended death."

The sheriff's office extended its condolences to all those affected by the death.
